I'm big on connecting, networking, mental health and serving. I could paint a pretty picture for you and sell myself/businesses but this blog will be different. I'm going to be real and raw and if that makes you uncomfortable or you are perfect, please check out my services -- & let's just get to business. Now for my girlies who are taking this journey by the horns and making it do what it do every single day, we can be real about how leveling up only looks good online. Because baby it gets UGLY behind the scenes! Starting and growing a business is HARD but hell, overcoming mental battles can be even harder. Trust me I know.

So a little background on my story is, I started my business back in 2016 after graduating college and seeing a need for small business owners to pay more attention to their systems and operations. At the time I was working at the top local radio station and making pretty good money coming out of college, serving in Marketing/PR/Promotion & Data Specialist. Feeling excited to serve, I started taking clients and giving away free sessions and baby, they were overly appreciative (who wouldn't be for free tho lol.)

Soon after that imposter syndrome kicked in because your girl was overwhelmed and honestly didn't even expect the amount of attention and problems small businesses were having with understand the backend of business. So I'm thinking to myself, "Kels how can you teach other businesses about operations when you don't even have yours in order?" From there I went into overdrive to create the business and life of my dreams! I invested hours and $$$$ in what I felt I needed to be more confident in who I am and what I have to offer to the world. I had to understand that I was the only thing stopping me from achieving my true goals and I have everything I need already, to be successful.

So long story short, I believed in what I had to offer but didn't have the foundation I needed to have a thriving business and serve my clients to the best of my ability. So yes, I fell off for some years because I genuinely didn't want to tarnish my brand by delivering poor customer service and to be real, my confidence was shoot. I have always aspired to help others and share my stories on perseverance and consistency and the low & high moments definitely changed my whole outlook on life.

If you are still reading this and need permission to GLOW, here it is! You can be anyone you aspire to be and if you work on building better routines and habits, you will see your life change right before your eyes. All is took was for me to look outside myself and not let the negative self talk get to me. You have power over your situation and starting today you can chose to live it freely! This is just the beginning...
